Backyard Summer Weddin in Cincinnati

The sweet Lubis family reached out to me a few days before their wedding. COVID of course had ruined all of their plans, and they decided to quickly move forward with a 10 person ceremony in their parent’s backyard. Their families rallied around them and helped create an absolutely magical day for this sweet little family.

Aleshia is a makeup artist whom I worked with back in February for a styled shoot. When I heard she was looking for a wedding photographer for her cozy backyard wedding ceremony, I jumped at the opportunity to spent time with her, Dave, and their adorable babe Ivy. On my consultation FaceTime call (thanks COVID) we discussed the details and memories Aleshia wanted to ensure we had photographed.

From the get go, I could tell how important family was to Aleshia. Her little girl is her whole entire world, and her and Dave were so excited to be officially be a family. We wanted to be sure that Ivy got just as much spotlight during the day, and boy did she eat it up!

The amount of love that I felt that day- oh my goodness friends it was unbelievable. Aleshia was SO dang calm. Even when it started absolutely freaking pouring 5 minutes before Aleshia was supposed to walk down the aisle, and we had to quickly improvise with the ceremony location. You could tell that both her and Dave wanted nothing more than to be together, as husband and wife, snuggling little Ivy, and moving forward with grace in their life as a family together. It was also incredible to see the amount of love and support their family had for them. The whole clan rallied around them to make sure the day was perfect, magical, and everything Aleshia and Dave had dreamed of.
