Bailey + Bobby // Cleveland Cultural Gardens
Cleveland Cultural Gardens Golden Hour Photos
I connected with Bailey when she entered the giveaway I hosted in collaboration with my good friend Sarah of @sarahs.scripts (follow her on insta you will not be disappointed she’s amazing). Bailey and her husband Bobby wanted an opportunity to do something fun to celebrate their 5th anniversary of being together and their 1st anniversary of being married. They reached out to me to book a golden hour session one of the weekends that I traveled up to Cleveland.
We originally intended to do the session at Lake View Cemetery. We were tossing location ideas back and forth, and as I was searching I found the cemetery. I thought to myself “hmmm that could be very cool, but would it be weird to suggest this as a location to clients I don’t know a whole lot about yet?” the next text I received from Bailey was her suggesting that very cemetery. That’s when I knew we were going to hit it off, get along great, and have an amaziiiiing session.
I drove to the cemetery from Stow (that’s where I stay while I’m in Cleveland, my sister lives there with her husband and four kiddos) and I was so excited about the sunset we were going to get- I knew it was going to be an epic golden hour. When I got to the cemetery, however, the gates were closed. We were super bummed to find out that it has been closing early, and we quick knocked our heads together to think of a different location.
For their engagement photos, Bailey and Bobby ventured through the Cleveland Cultural gardens and they suggested it as an alternate location. We met up in the Italian gardens and walked our way through the surrounding areas, constantly chasing that beautiful golden sun.
Though it wasn’t what we initially planned, the whole session still turned out GORGEOUS. Bailey and Bobby have such a strong, intimate connection. I felt like the luckiest fly on the wall the whole time to be able to watch them love on each other, make each other laugh, and build some happy memories to round out their first year of marriage. It’s such a blessing to have gotten to work with them, and we ended the night with promises to hang out next time I’m up in Cleveland.
I am so happy to be able to give them some positive memories to hold on to for this year, and also to have started an amazing new friendship with two wonderfully beautiful human beings. These connections that I make with you all as clients are so freaking special to me. I cannot wait for my next chance to see Bailey and Bobby, and to get to work with them again in the future. Check out some of the photos from their session - you deserve this magic in your life too!
