A Misty Woodsy Engagement Session - Dee and Brad
Dee reached out to me through my website back in the very peak of quarantine. Brad had just popped the question and, even though their wedding is 2 years out, she wanted to use this opportunity to have professional engagement photos taken for the first time. When I asked if she had any special requests for the engagement session, she only asked that we include her 3 kiddos. Absolutely, sold. The few days leading up to the session I had my eyes on the weather - there were thunderstorms everywhere I looked and I was extremely nervous. Finally, the chance of rain jumped from 30% at the time of the session to 70% and I had to text Dee. I was okay with risking it, but I never want to put clients in a spot where they’re going to be stressed, uncomfortable, or not enjoy the session. She said they were willing to risk it and later informed me that their family loves the rain. I may have lost my vision of creamy golden skies and the beautiful sunset spot I had scoped out, but I am SO thankful we were able to get photos that really match their family and their personality! Fate must have stepped in to be sure they got the best experience, and boy did we have a great time. The kids were so amazing, you could tell from just a few minutes with them how much they love their mama and how excited they are to add Brad to their little family. Halfway through the session Dee looked at me and said “I hope you know you’re photographing our wedding”. It’s two years out you guys and she already is ready to sign the contracts- I literally had to stop myself from crying I am so thrilled. Check out some of the beautiful photos we were able to capture for them!
