Halloween Wedding with the PopUp BNB

In true historical collaborative fashion with The PopUp BNB, we planned this whole Halloween Wedding Styled Shoot last freaking minute. I’m talking we did the styled shoot on Tuesday and I was messaging models Sunday night to see if they were available. Typically I am a type A plan my life down to the minute a full year in advance kind of person, but my best creativity always seems to thrive in spontaneity- and so does Kelly’s.

We got a couple model and a single model together on a Tuesday night at Kelly’s sister’s backyard in Mason, Ohio to live out their Sanderson Sisters - Hocus Pocus dreams for an evening. Kelly was entering a tablescape contest and needed images of the setup, and who doesn’t love a good fake wedding?

This session pushed me pretty far out of my comfort zone. My style is whimsical and carefree, capturing those laughs and the intimate moments that make your eyes crinkle and your bellies shake. But what’s the Sanderson Sisters vibe without a lil dramatic moodiness??

It took everything out of me to focus on capturing the dark stares and prompting the models for those witchy vibes we were going for, but boooooy was it worth it. Both for the stretching of my creative mind and for creating some amaaaaazing content.

Check out some of the literal magic that the models and Kelly were able to make for me lil ol camera. It really did justice to the kickoff of spooky season and got me suuuuper in the mood for pumpkin carving, bonfires, and all things Hocus Pocus.
