Heather + Aaron Engagement // Devou Park
I’ve started the opening line for this blog about 100 times, but words really aren’t adequate to describe not only these two and their amazing relationship, but the beautiful friendship we are building together.
Heather and Aaron tie the knot in July and I really cannot consider myself more blessed than I already do to be able to photograph their day. Their love is so pure, genuine, and full of laughter. And when I say that, I mean they laughed the WHOLE DANG SESSION when we were taking their engagement photos. If you know me, you’re well aware that is my bread and freaking butter.
Talking with Heather during our consultation was like talking to myself. She literally said “When Aaron meets you, his first thought is going to be ‘Oh my God there’s two of them’”. It was in that moment that I had my step brothers “Did we just become best friends” “Yep!” moment with these two.
I’m always a little nervous going into a session, but hanging with these two felt like walking through a park with friends I had known forever. We had such a blast looking for the most colorful trees and avoiding the hundred other people doing the exact same (fall in Cincy man, what a time to be alive). They were down for every adventurous idea I had, and even came up with a few of their own. Literally working with them. was likehanging out with two friends that I’ve known for forever.
Aaron proposed to Heather through a scavenger hunt a few months back. Since their relationship started in Columbus, he had to get a little creative- but he definitely pulled off the proposal of a lifetime and made it such a special day for Heather. The Big Moment happened with the Cincinnati skyline behind them, so the two lovebirds wanted to pay tribute to their moment during their session. We decided to take a trip over to Devour Park in Covington, KY. It had the perfect combination of skyline views and fall colors- I don’t think a single one of us was disappointed in the choice. Though we had a pretty cloudy day, those beautiful leaves gave us the much desired pop of color we wanted for the photos. Heather and Aaron brought with them the much desired pop of love and laughter- the most necessary element of a good photo.
To say that I’m excited for their wedding in July is an understatement. Heather is going to be the most beautiful bride, and Aaron a handsome, adoring groom. I can’t wait to spend the whole day celebrating their love and their growing life together. Only 9 more months, friends, let’s do this thing!
